It is VERY FRUSTRATING and takes a while, but DON'T GIVE UP!Ĩ.On the heels of Apple's new pricing for iCloud storage, existing iCloud users have begun receiving emails announcing they have received an upgrade and refunded to put them in line with new customers. Hope this helps anyone who needs a refund for iCloud
Retold my situation and gave info and waited for a few minutes longer and was coven a case number and told I would " probably" get my refund within " 7-10 business days" ( even though it only took minutes for them to charge the fees) Spoke with a "senior advisor " who asked me a lot of questions and said that they had new people for the holidays which is why it took so long to get to the right person.Ĩ. Waited another 11 minutes listening to very bad music that kept sounding like it was cutting out even though I was calling from a line that could not cut out.ħ. Waited 14 minutes to talk to a representative who transferred me againĦ. Waited 3 minutes for a representative to "direct" my callĥ.
Went through the extremely annoying voice recognition software programĤ. Scoured the apple website and site map for a number to call.ģ. Reply emailed the same guy to give me a phone number or link that worked to cancel (I have yet to hear back)ġ. Emailed support at iTunes store support (who told me they could do nothing but that "the good people at iCloud " could help, and then gave me a link to the same infuriating website that could not help me before, and did NOT give me the cancellation phone number I asked for - or any number for that matter)Ĥ. Followed directions given there and ones given in posts hereģ. I was FINALLY successful in canceling my iCloud "upgrades".Ģ. So I want to cancel my iCloud storage plan.
Problem overall is that I use an iMac (PPC not Intel) on Mac OS 10.5.8 and although I have upgraded to iTunes 10.5, I am finding that WiFi sync or iCloud do not work unless you are on Mac OS 10.6 (needs Intel) or greater. Tried iCloud Express Lane but they want £20 for an incident ticket which is about what I paid for the 20gb Storage Plan! I spoke to Apple iPhone support who said its another division, try iTunes support website and I should be able to email and cancel - but not seen any email address.
Nice email saying that I can cancel it within 15 days, but not where or how to do this. Result is that I now have an additional 20Gb Storage Plan. When I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and it turned into a "brick" I was forced to use iCloud to backup and restore and it kept complaining that I had 5.9 gb which is over the 5.0Gb free storage provided, so I purchased an upgrade - in a dazed and confused state as my iPhone was a "brick" I must have done this twice to recover my iPhone.
